Boulder High Class of 1993
It’s been a lot of fun prepping photos for a quick and dirty PowerPoint presentation for my 20th HS reunion. I discovered a very cool way to scan and clean up photos while I was working for CU and moving children’s books from print to digital for a literacy tutoring program. It’s not as visible in smaller pictures, but scanning a printed photo reveals the spot printing, all the dots you can’t see with the naked eye. Doing a bit of experimentation with gaussian blur and the sharpening filters helps reduce the digitized look.
* There was some good natured ribbing in the original powerpoint and after some thought on the nature of the ‘Interweb’, I took it out of this posted version. I realized that while intended in good fun, it could be construed as a ‘pot-shot’ and it truly was not my intent. My apologies if anyone took offense. And if now you’re wondering what the heck I’m talking about because you didn’t see it—good!, a little mystery is good for the soul. ;o)
